Near One Week To Go & Counting Down

Well we've got a little more than a week to go and the team is slowly getting everything together. Leave has been applied for, clothes have been sorted, passports ready and all we have left to do is gather up a couple of gifts and print out our flights. Exciting times are ahead! Woo Hoo!

I (Katie) personally can't express my sincere gratitude to the Rotary Foundation for allowing candidates like myself and the other team members such an amazing opportunity. To travel and experience the Canadian people, culture and vocational visits is something only the Group Study Exchange gives. I eagerly await meeting my wonderful host families and getting to learn about them and more about my vocation over in District 5370.

Whilst I have the chance I would also like to thank District 9650's District Governor Jo Wilkin and the team's sponsoring Rotary Clubs, Port Macquarie West, Taree, Kempsey, Tuncurry-Forster, Inverell, Armidale North and our fearless leader's club of Gunnedah West in helping to prepare us all on this amazing adventure.

Lastly, I want to thank our families, Baz (Harvey and Evie), Jaimee, Meg (Griff), Vanessa (Lucas), Mr & Mrs Emerson, Mr & Mrs Vivers and the lovely Pat(Travis and Adam), for being so supportive and proud of us. Without you guys some of us would never had even thought of applying to go on this adventure. Thank you... (Don't get too jealous..hehe)

So look out District 5370! We're on our way soon and we're all eager to get to know you and have an experience of a lifetime!
