9650 District Conference 2010-2011
Introduced by our team leader Kel Walls, we provided a short presentation about where we come from, what we do, our sponsoring Rotary club and what we hope to achieve from the GSE experience. Looking very dapper in our uniforms we also gave the crowd a comical presentation, unleashing our blue tongues in support of our chosen mascot. We were delighted to be able to meet with the incoming Canadian GSE team & discuss their experiences whilst in Australia & also quiz them on what we may expect in district 5370. On Saturday morning we were officially welcomed into the Rotary conference. We were treated to a number of interesting guest speakers in particular Coonabarabran local Dr Fred Watson who provided great insight into the universe & what might be out there. On Sunday morning we participated in the 12.3km "Rock to Clock" walk to raise money for the Rotary Foundation. Overall we had a great weekend.
