No that's not a typo in the title. We all rushed off after our Rotary presentation to change into rodeo gear, complete with boots newly bought from Keddies. Keddies also provided VIP passes to the Stompede - thanks guys! Upon arrival we managed to catch the end of the bull rides..
Next we were organised into a chuck wagon for presentation to the crowd in a parade as 'dignitaries' along with local members of parliament and councillors. What a buzz! We were then taken on a horse drawn tour of the rodeo complex.
Next came the chuck wagon races, which are races with small horse drawn carriages. You don't find them in any rodeo in Australia!
After the races some of the team went home for a well earned rest, whilst some decided there was still something left in the batteries and stayed on for a country music concert. Thanks to Chad for hanging around into the small hours to drive home the party people.
