Emma, Mark & myself (Tim) had some free time this afternoon & decided to go for a bike ride through Stoney Creek Park which is located in the middle of town & has numerous asphalt walking tracks. The mosquitos were quite severe & seemed to have a taste for Australian blood.
To protect ourselves from the mozzies we were provided with mesh shirts, and although we were laughed at by the passing locals we were bite free at the end of the ride.
The local railway bridges were also a nice backdrop to our ride. They are constructed entirely from softwood & the framing is almost a work of art. A big thank you to local Rotarian Lyn for taking the time out to guide us around.
