Last night we had the pleasure of presenting to all of the clubs in and around Camrose. We also had some additional guests, such as Linda the Canadian GSE team leader, who travelled to see us. Thank you so much for your time and effort, it was really great catching up with you! The night was wonderful and we were greeted with lots of treats. Our first treat was a traditional Canadian drink, the "Caesar", which originated in Calgary. It was refreshing and to me tasted like a meal :-) Here are some pictures of the ingredients and the finished product...pretty fancy! We also ate venison, which was a first for most of the team. We really appreciate all of your time, effort and thoughtfulness.
There was sharing of stories (or as we like to call them, "yarns") and of course being a Rotary function there was true fellowship.
Camrose was our first formal GSE presentation in Canada and we thank you all for your receptiveness and kind words. It was a lot of fun and you made us feel so relaxed and welcome. It was really a pleasure sharing information about our lives and country with you.
Below is a picture of the team and Dave exchanging our Rotary Club banners. We were very lucky to also receive special gifts from the clubs.
Lastly, we have been so blessed to visit Camrose and its' surrounding communities, there are so many amazing people here. We have learned so much and have had a really fantastic time getting to know all of you :-) AND we look forward to keeping in touch!!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
P.S. I have tried to do a video stream of my vocational visit yesterday (which was soooooo fantastic) and have not had success as yet. If I can't get it to work tomorrow I will post a written blog. It will be well worth the read I can assure you :-) apologies for the wait!
